A Glance That Breathed Life
Dear Calista
A glance is all I need for my soul to finally breathe.
My Love, I have found that it is your light that illuminates the stars.
In your absence, even when the sun and the moon do their dance, and the city shows itself to the world, I only see darkness.
I could be hung on a tree and set ablaze, yet I feel nothing.
Your absence is separation from sensation.
If my reality is a fabric, you are the unseen thread that holds it together.
As you draw near, even silence speaks.
If love is a kind of eternity, then you are at its beginning and at its end.
And if I am to wander this life, let it be only in the direction that leads me back to you.
