Surrender

Faith

The Love I have for you, It is deeper than any trench. The turbulent seas of my mind, Are calmed by a single divine utterance. It is said, if the Lord is with me Whom shall I fear. Yet I find myself frozen, By the flutter of a butterfly. Its colors are utterly mesmerizing, Aphrodite stands envious of its beauty. The wind from its wings, Fans the flames of my heart. Terrifying… I get shivers, Yet I'm burning with passion. Lord, please… I would rather have my heart Torn asunder, Then for her light, To lead me from you. Let it be according to your will. If… it.. Is not, Take my eyes, Deafen my ears, Make me unable to smell, Strip away from me every sense That dares to crown another king. I would rather darkness to befall me, Then for my eyes to be fixated on another. Does a painting ever, Match the beauty of its inspiration? Would you forsake the warmth of your beloved’s embrace, For an image that only remembers her? But… Lord… My beloved… The Air that breathe… If it is your will, That I behold her Let me see her through you. As a reflection of the glory that belongs to you alone
